NOTIFICATION
At present members of the WBHS 2008 and their beneficiaries are allowed to get the benefit of all types of indoor and some types of Outdoor treatment in the empanelled HCOs in terms of provisions laid down under clauses 6 & 7 of FD Notification No.7287-F Dated: 19.09.2008.
Consequent upon the depth of the disease of Renal failure West Bengal Health Scheme Authority has amicably considered the treatment of Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD), also called Home Dialysis, to be started at Home. This will have the greater flexibility and freedom in patients’ schedule and mitigate the frequent trip to the Dialysis Center.
Considering the aforesaid aspects, the Governor is pleased to accord approval for the treatment of Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD) performed at Home with the following conditions :-
1. Prior permission of West Bengal health Scheme Authority needs to be obtained for performing Peritoneal Dialysis at home.
2. Essentiality certificate from treating Specialist of a recognized HCO is required every month along with claims. Claims should be submitted at the end of each month in form D1 or IV1 as per norms of WBHS-2008 whichever the case may be.
3. The maximum admissible amount per month of Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD) including all apparatus and fluids need to be used at home is Rs. 18000/- or actual cost whichever is less for this purpose. All vouchers should be authenticated by treating specialist of the recognized HCO.
4. Other related treatment should be done at recognized hospitals / diagnostic Centres and claim should be furnished separately for this purpose.
This will come into immediate effect.
