Office Memorandum.

Subject:- Ex-gratia grants and other facilities for families of Government employees who die while in service.

   The undersigned is directed to invite attention to this Department’s Office Memorandum No:2/2/71—Fin(Reg) dated 13/15 March,1972 on the above cited subject and to say that para (d) of the Office Memorandum contains the provision for Free Educational Facilities, with respect to the unmarried children of the Government employees who die while in service subject to the condition laid therein.

 

   The matter relating to the carrying out some modification in the said Office Memorandum was engaging the attention of the Government for some time. Accordingly the said para (d)(i) is substituted with the following:-

   “The benefit of free education shall be allowed upto Degree Courses (including Professional Courses), provided the children get admission in the said Course on merit and pass the examination held from time to time and this benefit will be limited to only Government Educational Institutes.”

   The other terms and conditions as already issued from time to time shall remain the same.
