   Retirement age of Eastern Region Company employees will be 60 years. Decision taken at 56th meeting of Board of Directors

   Several important decisions were taken at the 56th meeting of Madhya Pradesh Eastern Region Power Distribution Company’s Board of Directors at Jabalpur today. At the meeting, decision was taken to increase retirement age of employees from 58 to 60 years. Resolutions passed at the meeting will be put forth before the cabinet through the department.

   The meeting also gave in-principle consent to proposal of starting new incentive scheme for employees who perform outstandingly in feeder separation, R-APDRP and revenue collection sectors. Decisions were also taken on fill up posts of law officer and legal assistant through departmental employees, constitution of 24 more flying squads in addition to existing ones, availing services of ex-servicemen for vigilance work and establishment of company’s 53 distribution division at Amarpatan tahsil headquarters in Satna district.

Preamble:
 
    As per Rule 112(3) read with Rule 113(5) of K.C.S.Rs., there is a provision to carry forward the leave at the credit of a Government servant at the close of the previous year to the next half year, subject to the condition that the accumulation of such leave on account of carry forward plus the credit for the half year does not exceed 240 days.  Rule  118 A (1) of K.C.S.Rs. provides for sanction of cash  equivalent to the leave salary for EL, if any, at the credit on the date of retirement of a Government  servant , who retires on superannuation, subject to a maximum of 240 days. Further, as per the existing provisions under Rule 118(2) of K.C.S.Rs., a Government servant may surrender EL not exceeding 30 days out of the leave at his credit once in a block period of two years and receive a cash equivalent of the leave salary.
