   Retirement age of Eastern Region Company employees will be 60 years. Decision taken at 56th meeting of Board of Directors

   Several important decisions were taken at the 56th meeting of Madhya Pradesh Eastern Region Power Distribution Company’s Board of Directors at Jabalpur today. At the meeting, decision was taken to increase retirement age of employees from 58 to 60 years. Resolutions passed at the meeting will be put forth before the cabinet through the department.

   The meeting also gave in-principle consent to proposal of starting new incentive scheme for employees who perform outstandingly in feeder separation, R-APDRP and revenue collection sectors. Decisions were also taken on fill up posts of law officer and legal assistant through departmental employees, constitution of 24 more flying squads in addition to existing ones, availing services of ex-servicemen for vigilance work and establishment of company’s 53 distribution division at Amarpatan tahsil headquarters in Satna district.

   At the meeting, progress during the last quarter was reviewed and information about action taken on decisions taken at the last meeting was given. Besides presentation of audit committee report, the Board of Directors also accorded sanction to accounts of the year 2011-12.

   Meeting of Board of Directors was attended by members including Rewa commissioner Shri Pradeep Khare, Eastern Region Power Distribution Company Managing Director Shri Sukhveer Singh, Dean IIT Roorkee Shri Hariom Gupta and Deputy Secretary Finance Shri Milind Waikar.
