Sub: – Dearness Relief (TI) @ 7% on pension/family pension w.e.f. 01.07.2012 in favour of the State Government  Pensioners/ family pensioners.

   Pension/family pension in respect of pre-2006 and post-2006 State Government pensioners/family pensioners was revised w.e.f. 1.1.2006 in Finance Department O.M.No.3667/F dated 19.1.2009 and Finance Department Resolution NO.3653/F dated 19.1.2009 respectively. Accordingly, Dearness Relief (TI) was allowed on such revision of pension/family pension in Finance Department O.M. No. 16065/F dated 10.4.2012 at the rate of 65% w.e.f. 01.01 .2012.

   2. Government of India, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions in their O.M.No.F-No.42/13/2012-P&PW(G) dated 04.10.2012 have enhanced the Dearness Relief admissible to the Central Government pensioners/family pensioners from 65% to 72% w.e.f. 01.07.2012.

Sanction of Dearness Allowance @ 7% to State Government employees with effect from 01.07.2012.

Sub:- Sanction of Dearness Allowance @ 7%  to State Government employees with effect from 01.07.2012.

   Ministry of Finance, Government of India, Department of Expenditure in their Office Memorandum No.1(8)/2012-E-II(B), dated 28.09.2012 have enhanced the Dearness Allowance payable to the Central Government employees from existing 65% to 72% w.e.f. 01.07.2012.

   2. Now, considering the demand of the State Government employees, the overall financial resources and fiscal targets stipulated under Orissa Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management Act, 2005, the State Government have been pleased to release additional dose of DA @ 7% enhancing the same from the existing rate of 65% to 72% on the Basic Pay and Grade Pay taken together w.e.f. 01.07.2012 in case of the State Government employees, who are covered under the ORSP Rules, 2008. This additional dose of DA will be paid in cash and can be drawn in the Pay Bill of October, 2012 payable in November, 2012 and onwards. Arrear from the month of July, 2012 to September, 2012 on account of the enhanced DA will be drawn and disbursed latest by 31.03.2013.

ORDER:

   In the Government Order first read above, orders were issued sanctioning revised rate of Dearness Allowance in the pre-revised scales of pay to State Government employees as detailed below:-

Tamilnadu Chief Minister anounces enhancement of benefits to Police personnel.

   Tamilnadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa today announced that the State government to provide double cots, cotton beds, pillows, bedspreads at a cost of Rs three crore to police personnel who are staying in Special Police Force and Armed Forces Quarters.

   She  announced a further hike in uniform allowance from Rs 200 to Rs 250.  Also the Chief Minister announced creation of 1116 vacant posts in the Prisons Department.

   An official press release here said, 'The police personnel have been working tirelessly to ensure peace and  harmony among people across the State. So, to give them the best and to motivate them, the Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa has been giving them a lot of concessions for them.'

   A total of 2, 055 double cots, 4,110 cotton beds, pillows, bedspreads at a cost of Rs three crore would be given to the police personnel.
