The below information stated by the Minister of State in the Ministry of Human Resource Development Shri.DR.D.Purandeswari in response to a written question in Lok Sabha.
Majority of School Teachers in the country, are under the administrative control of State/UT governments who prescribe their salary and allowances as well as the terms and conditions of service.
For schools under the administrative control of the Central Government, revised pay scales based on the recommendations of the Sixth Central Pay Commission for teaching staff have been adopted and no anomalies are reported.
