Subject: Change in the date of Holiday on the occasion of Muharram -reg.

   The Holiday on the occasion of Muharram was listed on Thursday the 14th November, 2013 vide Annexure I of this Department's O.M. No 12/4/2012-JCA-2 dated 5th June, 2012. This was dependent on sighting of the Moon. It has now been decided that for offices in Delhi / New Delhi, the Holiday on the occasion of Muharram will now be on Friday, the 15th November, 2013 and all Central Government Administrative offices located in Delhi / New Delhi shall remain closed on account of Muharram on 15th November, 2013.

Regarding withdrawal from the NPS on death of by the employees who have been allotted PRAN and their contribution uploaded to NSDL.

Subject : Regarding withdrawal from the NPS on death of by the employees who have been allotted PRAN and their contribution uploaded to NSDL.

Sir/Madam,

   The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) has now provided the interim procedure for withdrawal requests of employees arising out of the subscriber’s death. The PFRDA approved Withdrawal Form 103GD with Form 401 AN(Annexure) along with supporting documents are enclosed as annexure (Annexure—B). You are requested to follow the process as advised by PFRDA. The Withdrawal Form 103GD with Form 401 AN (Annexure) along with the supporting documents are to be submitted through to the Exceptional Handling Cell — CRA.

(b) Pension Sanctioning Authority
(c) PPO Issuing Authority

(a) Pension Disbursing Authority:

Bank Branch/Treasury/Post/PAO Office paying your pension

(b) Pension Sanctioning Authority:

The authority who sanctioned your pension before forwarding the case to Accounts.

(c) PPO Issuing Authority:

Generally, the Pay & Account Officer is the PPO issuing authority.

E.2 What should a Government servant do to claim his pension?

   During service each Govt. servant should satisfy himself that service is being verified and recorded so in the service book and that there are no gaps in this. He should also ensure that nomination for all payments due to him are current and valid.
