Sub : - Rajasthan Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2008.

   In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Rajasthan is pleased to make the following rules to amend further the Rajasthan Civil Service (Revised Pay) Rules, 2008, namely :-

Grant of Mess Allowance to the Nursing Staff / Laboratory Technician cadre / Radiographer cadre of Medical and Health Department.

ORDER

Subject:- Grant of Mess Allowance to the Nursing Staff / Laboratory Technician cadre / Radiographer cadre of Medical and Health Department.

   The Governor is pleased to order that the existing rate of Mess Allowance allowed to the following categories of Nursing Staff of Medical and Health Department, may be revised from Rs. 1000/- per month to Rs. 1200/- per month :-

Amendment in the Rajasthan Travelling Allowance Rules, 1971.

ORDER

Sub: Amendment in the Rajasthan Travelling Allowance Rules, 1971.

   The Governor is pleased to make the following amendment in the Rajasthan Travelling Allowance Rules, 1971, namely :-

   In the said Rules - below the existing clause (vi) of sub-rule (1) of Rule 28, the following new clause (vii) shall be inserted namely:-

   “(vii) For local short journeys undertaken by a retired Government servant, who has been summoned to give evidence after retirement in a criminal case or a civil case to which Government is a party, the short journey charges shall be admissible as applicable to a Government servant under Rule 9(2)(ii) and Rule 9A of the Rajasthan Travelling Allowance Rules, 1971.”

   This order shall come into force with immediate effect. Cases pending on the date of issue of this order shall be decided in accordance with the provisions of this order and cases already decided shall not be reopened.

Grant of Compensatory (City) Allowance to State Government Servants.

Subject:- Grant of Compensatory (City) Allowance to State Government Servants.

   The Governor is pleased to order that the existing Rule 3 of Compensatory (City) Allowance Rules, 1970 shall be substituted by the following, namely:-

   "3. Rate of Compensatory (City) Allowance : The Compensatory (City) Allowance to Government Servants referred to in sub-rule (1) of Rule 1, shall be granted at the following rates :-

Note:-

   1. Government Servants who are entitled to free boarding (or Messing Allowance) and free lodging as a condition of their appointment shall be entitled to receive the allowance @ 50% of the rates prescribed under this rule.

   2. For the purpose of Note-l’, Police personnel living in barracks of Police Lines/ Police Stations in Ajmer, Bikaner, Jaipur, Jodhpur and Kota city shall not be considered to be availing of the facility of free lodging and therefore, such police personnel shall be entitled to the allowance at full rates.

   3. Government servants who are availing of only one facility of free boarding (Messing Allowance) or lodging shall be entitled to receive the allowance at full rates”.

   This order shall come into force with effect from 01.07.2013.
