Sir/Madam,
   Please refer to this Department’s letter No.2/2/2011 dated 10.9.2012 on the subject cited above forwarded therewith proforma of the medical/disability certificate. In this context, I am directed to say that the line below column 2(iv) of the medical/disability certificate may be treated as removed. Other text for the medical/disability certificate will remain the same (copy enclosed).

SALIENT FEATURES OF EXISTING TATKAL SCHEME

SALIENT FEATURES OF EXISTING TATKAL SCHEME
   a. Tatkal booking opens at 10 AM on the previous day of journey excluding date of journey from the train originating station.

   b. The reservation under this scheme is available only upto the time of preparation of charts. 

   c. The facility of change of name is not permitted on the bookings made under Tatkal scheme. 

   d. No duplicate Tatkal tickets are issued except in exceptional cases on payment of full fare including Tatkal charges. 

   e. The reservation under this scheme can be sought by full fare paying passengers only and no passenger holding concessional ticket is allowed to avail reservation under this scheme. 

   f. Tatkal tickets are issued only on production of one of the nine prescribed proofs of identity as mentioned below and passenger should carry the same proof of identity(in original) during the journey failing which all the passengers booked on that ticket are considered as travelling without ticket and charged accordingly:- 

Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination, 2011.

                        Based on the result of the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Written Examination, 2011, held by the Union Public Service Commission on 9th October, 2011 and the Personality Test held in September-October, 2012, the following is the list, in order of merit, of candidates who have been recommended for appointment to:-

   (i)                 Border Security Force;
   (ii)               Central Reserve Police Force;
   (iii)             Indo-Tibetan Border Police;
   (iv)             Sashastra Seema Bal.
   (v)               Central Industrial Security Force;
 
   2.        A total number of 567 candidates, recommended for appointment, include 238 General, 180 Other Backward Classes, 98 Scheduled Castes and 51 Scheduled Tribes candidates.

   3.         Result of two candidates is being withheld.
